Privacy as a Feature

At Eleli we believe privacy is not a compliance checkbox — it is a core feature of the product. Our guiding principle is simple: Your desires stay yours. Only what you share is shared. We build every feature around this promise.

Who We Are

Eleli is operated by Eleli LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of New Mexico, United States. When we say “Eleli,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” we mean Eleli LLC.

Data We Collect

• Email address — used solely to associate your assessment results with your account.
• Assessment responses — the answers you provide during the desire-psychology questionnaire.
• Derived scores & archetype — the numerical dimension scores and archetype label calculated from your responses.
• Partner link identifier — a random UUID used to connect two consenting partners for the couple’s overlap report.

We do not collect names, phone numbers, physical addresses, payment information (unless you purchase a premium feature), or any biometric data.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to generate your personal desire profile, produce the couple’s overlap dashboard (when you choose to link with a partner), and deliver any premium features you purchase. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or behavioral targeting.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise disclose your personal, psychological, or relational data to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers — ever. Your assessment data is shared only with the infrastructure providers strictly necessary to operate the service (hosting and database), all of whom are bound by data-processing agreements.

Processing of Special Categories of Personal Data

Your assessment responses and derived psychological profile constitute special categories of personal data (sensitive data relating to your intimate life and psychological makeup). We process this data only with your explicit consent, which you provide when you submit the assessment. You may withdraw this consent at any time by deleting your data via the “Delete My Data” button on your results dashboard, which immediately and permanently erases all sensitive data from our systems.

AI Data Processing & Third-Party APIs

Where Eleli uses third-party AI services to enhance your experience (such as generating personalized narrative insights), all data is strictly anonymized before transmission. No personally identifiable information — including your email address, user ID, or partner link — is ever sent to external AI providers. Only aggregate, de-identified dimension scores are transmitted.

Furthermore, Eleli LLC strictly opts out of all AI model data training programs offered by its third-party AI providers. Your data is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any external AI model.

Partner Matching & Unshared Desires

When two partners link their profiles, the couple’s overlap dashboard highlights areas of alignment and friction. However, unshared desires — dimensions where partners do not overlap — are kept strictly private and are never disclosed to the other partner. Each individual retains full control over what is revealed.

Security

All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ and encrypted at rest using AES-256. Access to production databases is restricted to essential personnel through role-based access controls. We regularly review our security posture and apply patches promptly.

Right to Erasure

You have the right to permanently delete your data at any time. Your results dashboard includes a one-click “Delete My Data” button that immediately and irrevocably removes your profile, assessment responses, dimension scores, archetype classification, and any partner link from our database. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered. This right can be exercised without restriction, delay, or justification.

Cookies & Analytics

Eleli uses minimal, privacy-respecting analytics (Vercel Analytics) to understand aggregate usage patterns. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, retargeting pixels, or fingerprinting techniques.

Children’s Privacy

Eleli is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
